Frank W. Jackson, MD, FACP,
FACG
Dr. Jackson received his undergraduate education at
Princeton University. He earned his medical degree at the
Johns Hopkins Medical School. His internship was at Bellevue
Hospital at New York University in New York City. His
specialty training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology
was completed at the Hospital of the University of
Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and the Polyclinic Medical
Center in Harrisburg. After passing a board examination, he
became a specialist in Internal Medicine. After presenting
medical papers, he received an appointment as a Fellow of
the American College of Physicians - FACP. After several
years of training in gastroenterology and achieving
additional standards, he became a fellow in the American
College of Gastroenterology - FACG.
Dr. Jackson is the president of the Pennsylvania Society
of Gastroenterology for 1998-99. He is a member of the
American Gastroenterology Association, American College of
Gastroenterology and American Society of Gastrointestinal
Endoscopy. He was founder of the Central Pennsylvania
Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in the 1970s and
remained president until 1997. He was the first chief of
gastroenterology at the Polyclinic Medical Center in
Harrisburg. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Medical
Society, American Medical Association, American College of
Physicians, and American Society of Internal Medicine. Dr.
Jackson is active on the staff at Holy Spirit Hospital in
Camp Hill and Pinnacle Health System in Harrisburg.
